The public comment period is currently open until September 21st on the Roadless Rule Recision Draft Environmental Impact Statement. This rescission would strip protections from road-building, logging and resource extraction for 45 million acres of national forest lands. The Ecology Center will be hosting two public comment workshops, one on Tuesday, September 8th from 6-8pm at the Mt. Shasta Library and a second one on Saturday, September 12th from 6-8pm at Deadwood in Mt. Shasta. Come to one or both of these workshops to learn more about the Roadless Rule and how to submit a public comment. All are welcome!Â
