✨ Artist Lineup:
2:00 PM – Wheel-Thrown Magic: The Art of the Everyday Mug
Kurt Hoffmann, Heart 2 Hands Pottery
Watch potter Kurt Hoffmann bring clay to life on the wheel as he demonstrates the making of one of his signature mugs. Kurt will share how utility and beauty merge in pottery, and why the simple act of holding a handmade vessel can be grounding and meaningful.
2:30 PM – Preserving Craft in a World of Mass Production: 19th Century Jewelry-Making Methods in the Modern Age
Kim Angers, Turquoise Ferns Jewelry
Jewelry artist Kim Angers will transport you into the world of antique craftsmanship. She’ll demonstrate die-struck silver techniques from the 1800s and discuss how keeping these traditional practices alive brings depth, meaning, and history to her contemporary designs.
3:00 PM – From Forest to Form: Inspiration in Woodworking
Eric Blomberg, Woodworker
Eric will share how his woodworking practice is guided by the character of the wood itself, as well as the landscapes and experiences that inspire him. Learn how grain, knots, and natural form shape his process and fuel his creativity.
3:30 PM – Glitch Art & Digital Alchemy
Sean McCandless, Digital Artist
Discover the post-millennial movement of Glitch Art—a method of “digital alchemy” that transforms the everyday into something extraordinary. Sean will walk you through his three-step visual journeys, turning photographs of nature and life into psychedelic abstractions and geometric mandalas.
4:00 PM – The Photographers Eye
Derek Miller, Landscape Photographer
How to notice light, framing, and composition differently, so you can improve your own everyday, smartphone photos.
4:30 PM – Do Something, Even if It’s Wrong: From Blank Page to Creative Freedom
Maria Miller, Painter
Explore how taking the first step—regardless of mistakes or perfection—can open the door to flow, inspiration, and personal expression. Using her experience as a painter and entrepreneur, she’ll share ways to move past hesitation and fear, embrace experimentation, and discover the joy of creating without pressure. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this talk invites everyone to step up to the blank page, loosen up, and reconnect with the freedom and fun of making art. Art supplies provided!
