After graduating from the University of California, Davis in 1975, I joined State Farm as an agent in Santa Clara, California in 1976. I wanted to work in a field where I could make a positive impact and being in the insurance industry allowed me to do just that. Choosing to work with State Farm, a leader in the industry, seemed like the perfect fit.

Since 1982, I have had the privilege of serving as a State Farm Insurance Agent in Siskiyou County, with an office located in Mount Shasta, CA. I made the decision to raise my sons in a small town rather than the bustling bay area, and it turned out to be a great move for my family.

Living in Mount Shasta has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture and politics. I have served four complete 4-year terms on the City Council, with the honor of being elected Mayor four times. Additionally, I have filled in for retiring council members on two occasions. I have also been a dedicated Boy Scout Leader, earning the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. My community involvement extends to serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board and serving as its President. Currently, I am an active member of the Mount Shasta Rotary Club and the local Elks Lodge.

Throughout my career as an agent, I have discovered that making a difference in people's lives is of utmost importance to me. Recognizing the significance of life insurance in every policyholder's coverage, I pursued further education and obtained professional designations including CLU, ChFC, and CASL. This has allowed me to provide my policyholders with valuable financial information and guidance. Today, a significant portion of my time is dedicated to retirement conversations and coaching.
