Ecotourism

Help protect our beautiful Mount Shasta recreational areas, contribute to public awareness on the fragility of our ecosystem and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come! Contributions made to this fund help local volunteers and organizations clean up our rivers, lakes, trails, meadows, campgrounds, downtown parks and the mountain itself. The Mt. Shasta Visitors' Bureau defines ecotourism as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people." We implement and participate in ecotourism activities through the following principles:

Share the joy and donate to the Stewardship Fund! This fund is sponsored by the Jefferson Economic Development Institute (JEDI), a nonprofit organization committed to empowering people and communities to create prosperity.
